The ALDF is thrilled to announce the 2026 Advancement of Animal Law Scholarship winners! Selected students show an unwavering commitment to animal law and their law school communities. From planning events featuring animal law experts, fundraising for local sanctuaries and shelters, organizing letter writing campaigns and public comments, establishing an animal law course, participating in animal law sections, lobbying on behalf of animals, and bringing real legal opportunity to students, we applaud them all.

Congratulations to Delaney, Paige, Simran, Barbie, Abigail, Anna, Olivia, Frannie, Elly, Ema, Kynsee, and Jessica! Woohoo! It was such a joy to work with them last year on chapter-related work, and I encourage everyone to go read about them, including their interviews. It isn’t the easiest to balance a deep passion for protecting animals with the requirements and workload of law school, but still they showed up every day for animals and their peers. This scholarship was first established in 2008 and has awarded students who have gone on to become leaders in animal law (including many former and current ALDFers and friends!). I know that this year marks no exception and that they will continue to do amazing work; I look forward to seeing all that is to come!
