Every first Wednesday of the month during fall and spring semesters, students will have the opportunity to learn from leaders in the animal legal field and to hear how they got started, the work that they do, and more as part of the “My Life as an Animal Lawyer” series.
My Life as an Animal Lawyer: Career Pathways & Advice: Legislation
Kim Kelly, Legislative Affairs Program Director at the Animal Legal Defense Fund, and Praveen Varanasi, Executive Director of the Animal Legal Defense Legislative Fund, will share what inspired them to pursue careers in animal law, reflect on their law school experiences and professional journeys, and offer practical advice for students interested in legislative advocacy and advancing animal protection through the law.
